i have been traveling around a lot for the last several years just within my own city so there have been lots of last minute moves and i was always on a budget. hotwire never failed to get me a way better rate than any of the other travel sites hotwire is fast and easy to navigate. the best travel app there is hands down!

Ive booked numerous hotels, cars & flights thru Hotwire and its all been great! Easy to use app! Great deals!!

We have been using & recommending Hotwire for many years now!! The App is now better than ever! 1st. Choice for booking Hotels & car rentals! We have saved $$thousands!! Another great thing about it is that even though the Reservations are non-Refundable, you can wait until you actually decide on a location when traveling, before booking! There is trip "insurance" as well. Even before the "App" we were always able to get a good decent hotel, but now we are able to be even more selective! TIPS: 1. Elevators? 3-Star & up have elevators... most 2.5-Star do not. 2. Read reviews for more details. 3. use Filter for Recommendations (80% +) 4. ADD additional "Guests" for checkin by calling Hotwire directly, as only one is allowed when booking. 5. When booking is complete you have an "option" to "add to calendar." This saves all details to your calendars for easy access & reference. You can then also "share" info. with others, as needed. 6. If you are booking a Hotel in the same area regularly, you will be able to identify the same hotel again, if available, based on reviews, ratings, & other details. 7. Bed choices... always call the hotel directly to ask for specific bed types (King, queen, etc.). If you call early enough in advance they may be able to accommodate. 8. Confirmations... Its not necessary to call for confirmation, but its also best practice to never "assume!" Floors... sometimes the Hotel will get you a room on the 1st. Floor, or with a "view" etc.. Just have to ask.

Ive used Hotwire for years on the computer, but I have never used the app. Tried it out this time when scheduling a business trip near DC. Unbelievably easy to use, displayed hotels with good detail and booking was quick and efficient. The savings by using hotwire have always been excellent. Will start using the app a lot more now.

This and Kayak are my go-to travel apps. I got some great values here over time.

Really like this app. Gives you great deals if youre okay with the unknown. Havent had a bad experience, you get what you select from (star ratings). If you have repeat stays, you may end up with the same hotel. At least I have but I did rate the hotel highly so that may play a part.

Couldnt travel as much as I do without the Hot Rates!

Ive been using Hotwire for about 10 years now. Love that you can read the reviews on the Hotwire app. Only wish you could read the reviews online. I usually only pick 3-4 star hotels & Ive only been disappointed once & Hotwire went out of their way to accommodate me with another hotel. I tell everyone I know about Hotwire!!

I dont know why anyone would use any other app. I have them all and this one is the best

Make sure you constantly check for your itinerary upon purchase! Beware possible credit card theft. I have booked the same flight for 2 weeks with back and forth customer service ensuring charges were not processed to avoid double booking. Each time I was ensured that the flight went through via automated voice call. Without itinerary sent I would contact directly to be connected to a representative having no proof of booking. After booking consecutive times I was told to book through the airline directly and to avoid using Hotwire altogether (this from their direct customer service) as they cant ensure the booking made 100% of the time. Ive missed my flight having booked multiple times and entering credit card information for purchase. With automated confirmation of purchase you would think youre set. Its only due to my OCD that I was aware the booking did not go through. Beware this site and its app. Entering credit card information for a faulty site/app is never a secure sign.
