So I have booked previously with Priceline and have gotten good deals. I saw that Hotwire was available so I decided to try it out. I saw a great deal for a three star hotel. Just like Priceline, I booked with excitement to see what hotel I received. The hotel was a brand that I never heard of which shocked me cause it was a three star hotel. So I decided to look it up online and I was appalled by the reviews of the hotel and how other wondered how it would be considered three stars. It was also located on bad side of town and full of bed bugs. So I called Hotwire to speak to a representative to which they told me that the hotel was indeed a three star hotel. I argued saying that theres no way that this is a 3 star hotel to which they threw Expedia under the bus by saying that they too classified it like that. Now Im stressed out cause I lost a lot of money cause theres no way I am going to have my family come from out of state to stay at this roach motel. I will NEVER do business with Hotwire ever again.

I have used Hotwire a number of times in hopes of getting a "deal". But EVERY SINGLE "deal" has been a nightmare. I stopped using them after my last horrific experience at one of their hotrate hotels and decided Id give it one more shot. Terrible. Terrible mistake. I got the Millennium Hotel on Broadway and the supposed "free-wifi" as it was advertised on Hotwire is NOT free. Their service was subhuman. The concierge "Syed" was NOT accommodating whatsoever. I asked for a queen and he INSISTED that he has no choice but to give me to double beds. The room smells funny. This is just a nightmare. Please just HOTEL TONIGHT. All the information is ALWAYS straightforward and accurate.

Ive used Hotwire for years as Ive saved hundreds of dollars by booking great hotels at way, way under convention rates. Now that Im retired, it has been very useful as Ive traveled cross country. Not only do I save on whatever type of hotel I book, but I find the reviews very helpful in choosing my hotel.

I love this app, it is very user friendly. Ive always loved Hotwire and have been using them to book hotels for over 13 years and the app makes it even better.
